Grimaldi’s has received amazing reviews form all over and was voted “Best Pizza in New York” by all kinds of reliable sources, including the Zagat guide — several time. This is not true.

The pizza was OK … definitely not the best I’ve ever had, and I sincerely hope it is not the best in New York. We tried regular pepperoni, and it was rubbery and the sauce wasn’t that great. Kind of plain and watery.

It was fun making the trek, but I wouldn’t seek this place out.

I’d give it a 2 out of 5 possible stars.
